The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially declared the commencement of the online enlistment process for Tradesmen, Tradeswomen, and Non-Tradesmen/Women under the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 47/2026). Interested applicants can submit their applications to the Nigerian Air Force Recruitment Portal which will be active tomorrow the official Nigerian Air Force Recruitment Portal 2026 is https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. Candidates must thoroughly review all eligibility requirements before completing the application form.
Mandatory Documents Upon Application Completion
Upon successful submission of the online application form, candidates must print out the following required documents:
* Acknowledgment Form
* Parent/Guardian Consent Form
* Local Government Area Attestation Form
The Local Government Area Attestation Form must be signed exclusively by one of the following authorized individuals:
* A Military Officer hailing from the same State as the applicant, holding a rank not lower than Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent rank in the Nigerian Army or Nigerian Navy.
* A Police Officer holding the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) or above.
* A Substantive Local Government Chairman or Secretary.
* A Magistrate from the applicant's state of origin.
Note: The completed Local Government Area Attestation Form must be accompanied by the signee's passport photograph and a clear photocopy of their valid Driver's Licence, National Identification Card, or International Passport. Applicants who fail to complete their application successfully will be unable to generate these essential forms.
General Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for enlistment, applicants must fulfill the following mandatory requirements:
* Must be a citizen of Nigeria by birth.
* Must meet height standards: a minimum of 1.66 meters for males and 1.63 meters for females.
* Must be certified medically, physically, and psychologically fit, meeting all Nigerian Air Force medical standards.
* Must be completely free from any prior criminal convictions by a court of law.
Requirements for Tradesmen and Tradeswomen
* Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years old by 1 March 2027.
* Educational Qualifications: Candidates holding ND or NCE certificates must possess at least a Lower Credit from accredited institutions, alongside a minimum of 5 credit passes (including Mathematics and English Language) in SSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS in not more than 2 sittings.
* Trade Criteria: Applicants for driver roles and other trades requiring a Trade Test must possess a minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics and English in SSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS in not more than 2 sittings, in addition to their Trade Test Certificate. Drivers must present a valid driving license.
* Sportsmen/Sportswomen: Applicants applying under sports categories must provide verifiable evidence of professional sporting experience, including relevant certificates and medals.
Requirements for Non-Tradesmen and Non-Tradeswomen
* Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 22 years old by 1 March 2027.
* Educational Qualifications: Must possess a minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in SSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS in not more than 2 sittings.
* Additional Documentation: Candidates must possess their Primary School Certificate and Secondary School Testimonial.
Important Registration Dates and Screening Information
* Online Registration Window: Begins on 3 September 2026 and officially closes on 14 October 2026.
* Zonal General Aptitude Test: The examination for shortlisted candidates will take place on a date to be announced via the Nigerian Air Force Recruitment Portal 2026. Only successful candidates from the test will be invited for the Selection Board Interview.
