Npower News: How To Check Your Name If You Have Been Paid On The Federal Government Grant Portal Using Bank Verification Number (BVN)

According to Npower News, in order to ensure transparency in the disbursement process of federal government grant, the Federal Government of Nigeria in conjunction with the Ministry for Industry, Trade and Investment have introduced a new feature on the federal government grant portal that allows beneficiaries and even applicants to view their names on the portal using their Bank Verification Number (BVN). This process is being introduced by the Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Anite-Uzoka, to allow for accountability and transparency in the federal government grant distribution process.

How To Check Your Name On The Federal Government Grant Portal Using BVN 

The following steps below if followed properly, can be used to check your name in the federal government grant portal

1) The beneficiary or applicant for the federal government grant should navigate to the federal government grant portal.

2) The applicant or beneficiary should select ‘Apply Grant’ on the federal government grant portal.

3) The applicant or beneficiary should click on ‘VIEW BENEFICIARIES’ on the federal government grant portal.

3) The applicant or beneficiary should type his or her local government area in the search box of the list on the federal government grant portal.

4) The applicant or beneficiary should select his or her local government area from the dropdown that appears.

5) The applicant or beneficiary should input his or her Bank Verification Number (BVN) in the search box, and the beneficiary's details will be displayed on the federal government grant portal.

Kindly note that applicants that cannot find their names on the federal government grant portal, should note that all the local government areas are yet to be captured on the federal government grant portal and the federal government grant disbursement is ongoing and will continue till the end of May.

This development is part of the federal government’s commitment and dedication to an open, accountable and transparent system where Nigerians can easily gain access to information with respect to how public funds are being utilized.

According to Npower News 14th May 2024, the federal government of Nigeria with the ministry for industry, trade and investment has begun the disbursement of another phase of the federal government grant, as earlier said in previous publications the federal government grant will continue up until the end of May, as seen in the statistics of the number of beneficiaries on the federal government grant portal only few local government area have even gotten to the average mark, as we speak no local government area has received 100% federal government grant disbursement, applicants are advised to exercise patience as the federal government grant disbursement will be made every week until the 31st of May. Only applicants that completed the NIN verification and applied before the deadline will receive the federal government grant, beneficiaries of the federal government grant that received messages to come for data capturing should ignore the message if they have already received the federal government grant.

According to Npower News the national coordinator of Npower has said that a video documentary containing beneficiaries of Npower expressing their dissatisfaction regarding Npower payment and the Npower program will be released today. This video will be shared on all Npower Facebook and Twitter handles and also to media houses such as Channels Television, daily trust, Sahara reporters and a host of others.

According to Npower News, the National Coordinator has revealed that Npower payment will start by June, but please with Beneficiaries not to rest on their laurels by coming up with write ups and videos concerning their outstanding payment as this will facilitate the Npower payment process and further quicken the lifting of the suspension of Npower by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This was actually the support that the Npower national coordinator was talking about yesterday, Npower beneficiaries are implored to continue to do short videos and send them to the national coordinator of Npower. 

According to Npower News, the Npower national coordinator is also requesting for the beneficiaries of Npower to also be included in Npower batch D as well as other government schemes when it commences. The national coordinator of Npower said that though beneficiaries of Npower may doubt the possibility of Npower payment being made by June, but the National Coordinator of Npower has stressed it again and again the Npower payment will start by June and the Npower program will be lifted in coming weeks.

Npower News: Federal Government To Give ₦10,000,000 Grant To Corp Members

According to Npower News, the Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Jamila Bio-Ibrahim, has revealed a transformative agenda for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme. This ambitious plan includes awarding federal government grant summing up to ₦10,000,000 to each of over five thousand youth corp members. A committee will be delegated to champion these reforms.

This declaration was made during the inaugural session of the NYSC’s strategic meeting with leaders from Corps-Producing Institutions across the federation, which took place in Abuja on Monday. The Minister for Youth and Sports Development Jamila Bio-Ibrahim articulated her strategic vision for the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), stressing the essence of nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit among participants and integrating skills training as a fundamental aspect of the program.

According to Npower News, the Minister highlighted the objective to evolve the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), into a self-dependent and income-producing entity in the next 5 years. While the NYSC is already tasked with fostering entrepreneurship, the intention is to refine the process to be more productive, impactful, and advantageous.

Furthermore, the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund’s 2024 initiative will extend support to a minimum of five thousand corps members’ prospective business. This scheme is an important component of a larger strategy to establish NYSC ventures as a formidable investment and asset management enterprise.

Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, the NYSC’s Director-General, extended a warm welcome to the CPI heads in attendance. Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed outlined the objective to refine the mobilization of future corps members and to devise strategies to rectify current shortcomings, thereby streamlining the process.

Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed pinpointed several challenges within the mobilization framework, such as the improper delegation of responsibilities. Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed suggested the direct engagement of institutional leaders to foster a comprehensive understanding of the issues and to achieve greater outcomes.
