What Are The Requirements For The Npower Physical Verification Exercise

The Npower physical verification exercise is a process whereby all the documents, credentials and certificates uploaded by the Npower applicant to the nasims self service portal and checked physically both originals and photocopies if they actually match, if they do not match then the Npower applicant will not pass the Npower physical verification exercise.

What then are the requirements for the Npower physical verification exercise, the following below are the requirements for the Npower physical verification exercise.

1) The Npower applicant must have completed and passed the biometrics screening process, with his or her biometrics status displaying "fingerprint captured✓" under the nasims verification page.

2) The Npower applicant's status on the overview profile page under the Npower category must display either "shortlisted" or "beneficiary".

Credentials that shows date of birth, which includes any one of the following below:

D) Valid Photo ID which includes any of the following:

1) National Identity Card

2) Bio Data Page of International Passport

3) Voter's Card

4) Driver's Licence

CATEGORY 2 

Credentials showing proof of address of residence, which includes any one of the following below:

A) National Identity Card showing your address of residence 

B) Utility Bill which includes any of the following:

1) Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) Bill

2) Nigeria Water Corporation Bill

3) Waste Bill 

4) Voter's Card capturing your residential address

5) General knowledge of local area of residence 

CATEGORY 3

Credentials that shows your academic qualification, which includes any of the following:

A) Bachelor's Degree, Statement of Result or Transcript

B) Ordinary National Diploma (OND) certificate, Statement of Result or Transcript

C) Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate, Statement of Result or Transcript

D) National Certificate In Education (NCE), Statement of Result or Transcript

CATEGORY 4

National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) credentials which includes the following:

A) NYSC Certificate or Discharge Certificate

B) NYSC Exemption credentials 

CATEGORY 5

A) NASIMS PROFILE PAGE

B) PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH

C) FLAT FILE

Npower applicants with the "Shortlisted" status under their Npower category on the overview profile page that have not seen their physical verification venue are to contact Npower through the Npower verified twitter handle @npower_ng and continue checking their verification page for updates regarding the Npower physical verification venue, Npower applicants under the non graduate category with the "Shortlisted" status under their Npower category on their nasims overview profile page will carry out their physical verification exercise at their training centres of deployment.

Who Will Be Selected As An Npower Shortlisted Candidate

Npower applicant that will be selected as an Npower shortlisted candidate is an Npower applicant that have successfully completed and submitted his or her Npower biometrics finger print capture with the "fingerprint captured ✓" green icon being displayed under the verification page of the nasims self service portal after submission.

As long as an Npower applicant have successfully done his or her biometrics and it shows "fingerprint captured ✓" icon under the screening or verification page of nasims self service portal the Npower applicant have been selected as an Npower shortlisted candidate for the Npower physical verification exercise.

Npower applicants with the "Shortlisted" status under their name have been shortlisted for the Npower physical verification exercise, even if your physical verification venue is not displaying give it some time it will come up or send your complain to @npower_ng on twitter.

Why You Are An Npower Shortlisted Candidate

The reason why an Npower applicant becomes an Npower shortlisted candidate with his or her status displaying "shortlisted" under his or her Npower category on the overview profile page on the nasims self service portal is simply because of the following below.

1) The Npower applicant have successfully completed the Npower biometrics screening exercise with the "fingerprint captured ✓" green icon being displayed under the verification page of the nasims self service portal.

2) The Npower applicant have been selected for the Npower physical verification exercise.

Npower applicants with the "shortlisted" status and have not seen his or her physical verification are advised to either exercise patience and wait for the Npower physical verification venue to be uploaded or send their Npower ID and issues to Npower verified twitter handle @npower_ng.

Npower applicants under the non graduate category such as N-Build, N-creative and N-Tech with the "shortlisted" status under their profile are advised to wait for further directives from Npower as their physical verification exercise will be done at their training centres.

Where The Npower List Of Shortlisted Candidates Can Be Checked

The Npower list of shortlisted candidates can be checked at the Npower physical verification venue but the Npower list of shortlisted candidates is not available on the nasims self service portal, Npower applicants attempting to check the list of Npower shortlisted candidates on the nasims self service portal can only check if they have been shortlisted individually and not collectively.

An Npower applicant can check if he or she has been shortlisted by following the procedures below.

1) The Npower applicant should login into the nasims self service portal https://nasims.gov.ng using the Npower ID or Npower email and unique password.

2) Once the Npower applicant logs into the nasims self service portal, the Npower applicant is taken to the nasims overview profile page.

3) Once you see "shortlisted" under your Npower category it means that you are an Npower shortlisted candidate, if you are under the graduate category you are to wait for physical verification which will be conducted at your training centre.

Being shortlisted as an Npower candidate means that you have passed your Biometrics and you have been shortlisted for the Npower physical verification exercise.

Why Npower Permanency Will Not Happen

Npower Permanency is a process whereby Npower beneficiaries after completing their training at their place of primary assignments are retained by the Federal Government to continue discharging their duties as they continue to earn their stipend or salary.

Npower Permanency cannot happen because of the following reasons below.

1) Npower beneficiaries are posted to mostly State owned establishment and are not posted to Federal Government establishments thereby making the chances of being retained quite challenging.

2) Their are fewer Federal Government establishments in the Federation and these Ministries, Departments and Agencies cannot accommodate the large numbers of Npower beneficiaries.

3) The Npower programme is designed to be a temporary program to train Npower beneficiaries to become entrepreneurs and self reliant, thereby making permanency quite difficult.

4) The Npower beneficiaries that have already completed the Npower programme in the past were not retained thereby making permanency of the current batch extremely difficult.

Regardless of the above, Npower beneficiaries after completing their Npower programme will be exited to an enhancement programme which is known as the NEXIT training programme, under the NEXIT training programme, Npower beneficiaries will be trained for a week and after completing their one week training, these Npower beneficiaries will be given the NEXIT training certificate of completion and will be given soft loans amounting to ₦3,000,000 to start a business of their choice.

When Biometrics Will Close

The biometrics exercise closed when the Npower physical verification started, Npower applicants attempting to complete their biometrics at this period might only just be lucky to be selected for the Npower physical verification exercise, because as we speak the Npower physical verification exercise is ongoing and the biometrics is only a criteria for being selected for the Npower physical verification, it is extremely unwise trying to complete your biometrics at this period, all biometrics process was concluded when the Npower physical verification started.

The Npower screening process is done in stages, Npower applicants that delayed their biometrics screening process might start having issues regarding selection because of such delays in completing their biometrics screening process as at when due, even if the Npower Applicant eventually completes his or her biometrics screening process.

1) Npower volunteers are still having payment issues, until a sizeable amount of payment issues have been resolved then the Npower April stipend will start.

2) Npower beneficiaries are undergoing the on boarding process, and will have to be placed in the payroll system which has not been concluded, once the on boarding process is completed then Npower April stipend initiation process will start.

3) Npower beneficiaries undergoing the shortlisting process have not been entered into the payroll system, as soon as the new Npower beneficiaries are entered into the payroll process then Npower April stipend will be initiated.

4) Npower beneficiaries have to be deployed then entered into the payroll before April stipend will commence.

The delay in the initiation of April Stipend is caused by the ongoing process of the new Npower beneficiaries, once the on boarding process is completed in the coming weeks then the Npower April stipend initiation process will start.
