Npower: NCT Which Will Commence 23rd August, Is Not N-EXIT Package

Lots of Npower exited Volunteers of the Npower Batches A and B have been confusing themselves over the NCT,(the conditional cash transfer), infact many Npower Exited Volunteers have been mixing up the Conditional Cash Transfer with the N-EXIT package, most Npower Batches A and B volunteers are even calling the Conditional Cash Transfer, N-EXIT package.

Please the Conditional Cash Transfer is not N-EXIT package, the official date for the commencement of the N-EXIT package is yet to be announced, although there are some speculations that the N-EXIT package might fall within the GEEP 2.0 which would commence on 24th August although this information still remains sketchy, the conditional cash transfer provides a stipend of ₦5000 to the poor and vulnerable within rural communities.

The National Cash Transfer Programme also known as Household Uplifting Programme (HUP) is one of the 4 social investment programmes anchored by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The programme commenced in September, 2016.  It was conceived as part of the Federal Government of Nigeria’s (FGN) larger growth and social inclusion strategies aimed at addressing key social concerns in the country.

It is a component of National Social Safety Nets Project (NASSP) which is supported by the World Bank, to provide financial support to targeted poor and vulnerable Nigerian households.

The programme is focused on responding to deficiencies in capacity and lack of investment in human capital, especially amongst our poorest citizens. Beneficiaries of the programme are mined from the National Social Register (NSR), comprising State Social Registers (SR) of poor and vulnerable households. The SRs are being developed with the training, supervision and guidance from the National Social Safety Net Coordinating Office in Abuja.

The programme is designed to deliver timely and accessible cash transfers to beneficiary households and sets to support development objectives and priorities, to achieve specific outcomes as outlined below:

Improve household consumption.

Increase in utilization of health and nutrition services.

Improve school enrolment and attendance.

Improve environmental sanitation and management.

Encourage household financial and asset acquisition.

Engage beneficiaries in sustainable livelihood.

The programme has 3 components which are as follows:

Npower: If You Did Or Did Not Recieve The Profile Update Message, Please Read This

Some Npower Batch C applicants on login into their Npower NASIMS portal a message was displayed, imploring the Npower Batch C applicant to update his or her profile.

Please if you are an Npower Batch C shortlisted applicant and you receive this message, kindly oblige, by updating your profile, even if you had done it previously.

Once an Npower Batch C applicant uploads his or her documents successfully, the Npower profile update message will no longer be displayed on your Npower NASIMS dashboard.

All Npower Batch C applicants should take note, your names, date of birth, state of origin and local government should not be touched, because they are linked to your BVN.

If you were shortlisted and did not receive the profile update message, it simply means that your Npower NASIMS profile is intact.

Please an Npower Batch C applicant receiving the Npower profile update does not mean that the Npower Batch C applicant has passed the physical verification stage or deployment stage, as most Npower Batch C applicants often claim.
