Osun State Begs Former NPower Teachers To Resume

Osun State Government on Monday pleaded with former N-Power teachers handling Senior Secondary School Three classes before they were exited from the scheme, to return to schools for revision classes.

This was contained in a public service announcement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Intervention Programmes, Lukman Bello, on Monday.

The State’s Commissioner for Education, Mr Folorunsho Bamisayemi, in the announcement, urged the volunteers to sacrifice for the future of the students that are preparing for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

The announcement read in part, “Sequel to an appeal to all N-Power teachers who were directly teaching SS3 classes in Osun Public High Schools by the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Folorunsho Bamisayemi, to go back for the revision classes currently going on to prepare our students for the examination commencing on the 17th of August, 2020.

“I want to passionately appeal to the affected Ex N-Power Volunteers in both Batch A and Bath B to please honour Osun Government. No sacrifice is too much for the future of our students.”

Exited NPower Beneficiaries Asked NPower To Clear The Air On Data Collection In States

NPower Batch A and NPower Batch B exited volunteers have asked the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to clear the air on the ongoing data screening of exited NPower beneficiaries in the various states across the federation so that no NPower volunteer will be left out since the data collection is not done harmoniously.

Reasons have been that Npower has told its beneficiaries to always stay glued to their official channels for authentic information but since the news for data collection of exited NPower volunteers was announced, NPower has remained mute towards this development. A situation that has kept some NPower beneficiaries in a confused state.

The NPower volunteers are requesting that NPower should make a statement regarding the data collection of Batch A and B to attest to the genunity.

The exited NPower volunteers are asking whether Npower situation room, no longer have their data on the Npower database. Why are we been asked to send our information manually, when you have all our information, the NPower volunteers asked in a different comment.

The information requested that the NPower desk officers in various LGA should communicate to the exiting NPower beneficiaries the various opportunities that the Ministry is exploring with some MDAs, such as the CBN, and inform those that are interested to submit their email address and phone numbers to the Npower state office within a week.
