When Npower April Stipend Will Commence

According to Npower, the payment of April stipend to Npower volunteers will commence soon, Npower have said that they are working to initiate the April stipend and Npower volunteers should remain patient.

This statement was made in response to a question raised by a concerned Npower volunteer, who asked Npower, when they are going to initiate April stipend.

Npower volunteers are advised to always check their payroll tab for updates regarding payments, April stipend will commence soon as the non graduate category have started receiving their April stipend.

How The Npower Physical Verification Will Be Conducted

The following below are the steps in which the Npower physical verification will be conducted.

1) Npower announces the commencement of the physical verification exercise through their verified social handles, stating modalities for the physical verification.

2) Npower applicants are contacted through the verification page of their NASIMS self service portal, through text messages, and emails, Npower Applicants can also check their physical verification status using *45665# nasims ussd code.

3) Successful Npower applicants proceeds to the Npower physical verification centre.

4) Npower applicants check their names at the physical verification centre.

5) Npower applicants proceed with all originals and photocopies of documents uploaded to the Npower NASIMS self service portal.

6) Npower physical verification officers checks all documents uploaded to the Npower NASIMS portal by the Npower applicants.

7) Verified Npower Applicants proceeds to the deployment phase 

All Npower applicants are advised to always check the verification page of their NASIMS self service portal for updates regarding the Npower physical verification exercise.

Who Will Conduct The Npower Physical Verification Exercise

The Npower physical verification exercise will be conducted by the National Youth Service Corps Directorate, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) and serving National Youth Corp members will be assigned at various posts at the local government secretariat to check all the documents uploaded by the Npower applicants on their nasims self service portal.

The following documents below will be checked by the physical verification officers; 

CATEGORY 1

Documents that shows date of birth, which includes any one of the following below:

A) Birth Certificate

B) Baptismal Card

C) Affidavit of Age Declaration

D) Valid Photo ID which includes any of the following:

1) National Identity Card

2) Bio Data Page of International Passport

3) Voter's Card

4) Driver's Licence

CATEGORY 2 

Document showing proof of address of residence, which includes any one of the following below:

A) National Identity Card showing your address of residence 

B) Utility Bill which includes any of the following:

1) Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) Bill

2) Nigeria Water Corporation Bill

3) Waste Bill 

4) Voter's Card capturing your residential address

5) General knowledge of local area of residence 

CATEGORY 3

Documents that shows your academic qualification, which includes any of the following:

A) Bachelor's Degree, Statement of Result or Transcript

B) Ordinary National Diploma (OND) certificate, Statement of Result or Transcript

C) Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate, Statement of Result or Transcript

D) National Certificate In Education (NCE), Statement of Result or Transcript

CATEGORY 4

National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) documents which includes the following:

A) NYSC Certificate or Discharge Certificate

B) NYSC Exemption documents 

All the above documents will be checked by the Npower physical verification officers and if they do not correspond with the documents you uploaded to the nasims self service portal, you will be marked unverified and you will not progress to the next stage which is the deployment stage.

Npower applicants are advised to ensure that they have all copies both originals and photocopies of the documents uploaded to the nasims self service portal.

Where The Npower Physical Verification Exercise Will Be Held

The Npower physical verification exercise will be held at the residential Local Government Area Secretariat of all Npower applicants nationwide, for example if you live in Lagos and you live in Amuwo Odofin local government area, then your Npower physical verification centre will be at the local government secretariats within Amuwo Odofin local government area.

Npower applicants that are not presently at their local government area of residence, will have to go to their local government area of residence to complete their Npower physical verification exercise, your local government area of residence is the place you live and it is the address stated on your NASIMS profile.

An Npower applicant that carries out his or her Npower physical verification outside his or her local government area of residence will not be verified and will be disqualified from the Npower programme.

Npower applicants are advised to carry out their Npower physical verification at their local government area of residence which was filled into the Npower NASIMS portal during preregistration in order to avoid being disqualified from the Npower program, although Npower have not released the physical verification centre, but the norm is that Npower applicants are always verified at their local government area of residence.

How To Check If You Will Be Selected For The Npower Physical Verification Exercise

Npower applicants can check if they will be selected for the Npower physical verification exercise by following the simple steps below.

1) The Npower applicant should login into the Npower self service portal https://nasims.gov.ng using his or her login credentials which is the Npower ID or Npower email address and your unique password.

2) After login into the Npower self service portal, the Npower applicant should click on the "verification" tab.

3) The Npower applicant should scroll down to the bottom of the verification page, if you see the green icon displaying "fingerprint captured ✓" with a mark, then you have been selected for the Npower physical verification exercise, all you need to do is to wait for official statement to be released by Npower, and also keep checking the verification page immediately after the "fingerprint captured ✓" icon, this is the area where details of the Npower physical verification exercise will be displayed.

On the contrary if after checking the verification page and you still see "capture your fingerprint" green icon till date, then you will not be selected for the Npower physical verification exercise.

Npower applicants that have not completed their biometrics should quickly visit the nearest cyber cafe to complete their biometrics otherwise failure to complete the biometrics might make you not to be selected for the Npower physical verification exercise.

Npower N-Agro Programme, Stipend, Category And Duration

There has been lots of controversies surrounding the Npower N-Agro category, infact Npower applicants are confused if the N-Agro falls under the graduate category or the non graduate category of the Npower programme, Npower applicants are also not clear on the duration and stipend of the N-Agro Programme.

In order to clarify the above controversies, I will be highlighting the basic facts of the N-Agro Programme below.

1) The Npower N-Agro Programme falls under the graduate category of the Npower programme and is not a non graduate programme.

2) The Npower N-Agro Programme runs for a period of one year because all graduate category of the Npower programme lasts for a year, that is 12 months.

3) The Npower N-Agro stipend is ₦30,000 and not ₦10,000 because it is a graduate component of the Npower programme, only non graduates will be paid ₦10,000 for six months, after completing their three months training.

4) Npower N-Agro volunteers will not be given mobile devices this time around, although it was done in the past, but this time around the N-Agro volunteer will not be given mobile devices.

With the above points, Npower applicants should take note that the N-Agro Programme falls under the graduate category of the Npower programme and all Npower volunteers under the N-Agro Programme will be paid ₦30,000 for 12 months.

Npower Discussion Group

Npower discussion groups are platforms where Npower applicants, Npower beneficiaries and Npower volunteers meet online to share their challenges and these challenges and issues faced by the Npower volunteer or Npower applicant is resolved, their are various Npower discussion groups on the internet but the following Npower discussion groups below can be used by Npower volunteers, Npower beneficiaries and Npower applicants when making their complains.

Npower 2022 Registration Is Not Out Yet

All prospective Npower applicants should take note, please the Npower 2022 registration is not out yet, Npower have clarified this on their social handles in response to a question raised by a prospective Npower applicant asking when the next portal will be opened, see image below.

All Npower applicants are hereby advised to always check the Npower verified handles for updates regarding the next Npower registration, once the Npower registration comes out, it will be made public and announced on all Npower social media handles and it will also be publicised on television and on the radio.

The Npower registration is completely free of charge, prospective Npower applicants should please ignore anyone claiming to have a website that conducts tests, and registers Npower applicants for a fee, this is false.

How The Npower Payment Is Made

The Npower payment is a process whereby the savings account of an Npower volunteer is being credited provided all requirements, such as biometrics, verification, and deployment are met by the Npower volunteer, Npower volunteers receive their payments but do not actually know what happens behind the scene.

The following process below describes how the Npower payment is made and how the stipend gets to the Npower volunteer. 

1) At the 21st of the month of payment the payroll is cut off, what this means is that the list of Npower volunteers under the payroll system is sent to the table of the Minister For Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farooq.

2) This list is sent to the table of the Minister For Humanitarian Affairs through the Permanent Secretary.

3) Once the Minister receives the list of Npower volunteers in the payroll the Minister goes through the list and approves the list.

4) This list is forwarded to the Accountant General of the Federation.

5) The Accountant General of the Federation forwards the list to the Central Bank of Nigeria for the payment process to begin.

6) The Central Bank of Nigeria initiates payment through the Nigeria Inter Bank Settlement Scheme NIBSS.

7) NIBSS validates payment and credits Npower volunteer's bank account.

During this payment process as a result of network glitches the stipend might fail to get into the Npower Volunteer's bank account and this is known as system error from the NIBSS and not from Npower, Npower volunteers should note that Npower do not make payments, they can only liaise with the institutions responsible for payments. 

An Npower volunteer that fails to be paid due to the following reasons below such as;

1) Failed transaction

2) Transfer unsuccessful

3) Payment failed

4) System error

5) Transaction failed 

6) Destination not found

The Npower Physical Verification Exercise, Everything You Need To Know

Physical verification is a process whereby both original and photocopies of all  credentials, certificates and other documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal https://nasims.gov.ng is presented physically to Npower physical verification officers to check if it matches the credentials, certificates and documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal, these documents will be checked by the National Youth Service Corps members at all National Orientation Agency centres in states and local government secretariats nationwide. The Npower physical verification is the second stage of the screening process, at this stage, the Age, Gender, Residential Address, Local Government Areas, Academic Qualifications, and National Youth Service Corp credentials of the Npower applicants will be verified.

The credentials, certificates and documents to be checked by the Npower physical verification officers includes the following below;

CATEGORY 1

Documents that shows date of birth, which includes any one of the following below:

A) Birth Certificate

1) The Npower applicant's physical verification centre is at the residential Local Government Area Secretariat.

2) Npower applicants that had already done their biometrics but missed the previous physical verification exercise are expected to join the current batch and partake in this physical verification exercise.

3) All Npower applicants are to follow the instructions at the Npower physical verification centre.

4) All Npower applicants should be orderly and courteous.

5) All Npower applicants must ensure they have all documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal.

6) Npower applicants are not to pay money to anyone at the Npower physical verification centre. The Npower physical verification exercise is totally free of charge.

7) Npower applicants should NOT, give anyone his or her BVN slip.

8) Npower applicants that were pre-selected and cannot find their names at their local government area of residence, should check other nearby local government areas.

9) Npower applicants should wait for the next step after concluding the Npower physical verification exercise, and ignore anyone who claim they can help you to make it to the final selection.

The Npower physical verification officers will check all documents one after the order and any document that passes the physical verification will be marked ✓ verified, the Npower applicant is expected to pass the Npower physical verification exercise if all documents presented physically matches the documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal, the Npower applicant must achieve 100% verification in order to pass the verification exercise, a mark short of 100% means that the Npower applicant did not pass the physical verification and therefore cannot progress to the next stage of the selection process which is the deployment stage, therefore Npower applicants are strictly advised to ensure that they have all hard copies both originals and photocopies of the documents uploaded to the Npower self service portal with them.

Although the Osun State focal person for the National Social Investment Programme had earlier informed the public particularly the Osun State Npower applicants that the physical verification will start on Monday 13th of June, Npower applicants are advised by Npower to exercise patience and wait for official statement from them on all their social media handles and on the Npower self service portal, Npower applicants should note that if Npower have not released an official statement regarding when the Npower physical verification will start, the Npower physical verification cannot start.

N-Build Batch C1 Beneficiaries Will Be Deployed On Monday 13th June 2022 - Minister For Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria

 

The recent graduates of the Npower Batch C1 non graduate category of the Npower programme, the N-Build volunteers will be posted to their various places of primary assignment and apprenticeship officially on Monday June 13th, this statement was made by the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria, Sadiya Umar Farooq and I quote;

“Having completed the in-centre training, you will be attached directly to relevant institutions for your Six-month apprenticeship. This attachment will enable you to have work-based learning experience commencing on Monday, 13th of June, 2022. During this six-month attachment period, your performance will be assessed and examined by the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON),the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) and the Institute of Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN) respectively”.

During this six months apprenticeship, the Npower volunteers will be paid ₦10,000 monthly stipend for six months, Npower volunteers currently seeing "No payment data" on their payroll status is simply because they have not been posted, once you are posted your payroll payment status will be updated and you will be entitled to receive monthly stipend and payments for each months will be reflected on your payment status under the nasims payroll tab.

Npower applicants under the Npower Batch C2 components of the Npower graduate category are to take note, this six months apprenticeship is not for the Npower applicants under the graduate category, Npower applicants under the graduate category must complete their physical verification exercise before they are deployed.

All Npower applicants either under the graduate category and non graduate category are advised to continue checking for updates on their verification page and deployment page respectively for the Npower physical verification commencement date and deployment date.
