Npower Business Plan

The Npower business plan is a document prepared by exited Npower volunteers through an online template, every state have their Npower business plan template which is filled by Npower volunteers, the Npower business plan is a document required for the processing of the soft loan to be issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The Npower business plan is a document to be completed at the end of the Npower NEXIT training, in some states the Npower business plans are completed by the Npower Nexit training consultants themselves and are adjusted based on the informations on the Npower business plan, the informations on the business plans includes:

1) The profile page

2) The cost of equipments

3) Financial plan

4) Management plan

5) Loan amount

And other details depending on the Npower business plan template used by a particular state.

The Npower business plan must be submitted in order for the Npower volunteers to be entitled to the soft loan to be issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria, in order for the Npower volunteers to check if the business plan have been submitted, once the business plan have been submitted it becomes no longer editable, once the Npower business plan is editable it simply means it has not been submitted yet.

Npower volunteers are to login into their online Npower business plan to check if the business plan have been submitted, otherwise they are to contact their state Npower Nexit training consultants to find out if their Npower business plan have been completed and submitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Npower NEXIT Training

Npower NEXIT training is a process whereby exited Npower Batch A and B volunteers are trained for a period of a week on how to develop a business plan as a requirement for application of soft loan.

The Npower NEXIT training is conducted in batches, each batch will be trained on how to complete a viable business plan, after the completion of the business plan, it is submitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria for the processing and disbursement of the soft loan to the Npower volunteers.

The business plan will be scrutinized and approved before the soft loan is disbursed to the Npower volunteers, in some cases the business plans are submitted on behalf of the Npower volunteers by the Npower NEXIT training consultants, the Npower NEXIT training consultants are responsible for conducting the Npower NEXIT training nationwide.

The second batch of the Npower NEXIT training will commence after all business plans of the previous batch have been received by the Central Bank of Nigeria, before the next batch begins, a list is sent by Npower (the body in charge of of the NEXIT training programme) to the state Npower Nexit training consultants nationwide, then the next batch of the Npower NEXIT training begins.

All Npower volunteers will be given certificates at the end of the Npower NEXIT training and will be given soft loans after all business plans have been vetted and approved by the appropriate financial institutions.

This soft loan will be used to start a business as specified in the business plan of the Npower volunteers, Npower volunteers awaiting the next batch are advised to check their shortlisting status by dialing the NASIMS code *45665# the code used for checking the Npower NEXIT training status to check if they were shortlisted for the next batch of the Npower NEXIT training.

NASIMS Biometric

The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) biometric is a process whereby shortlisted Npower stream 2 volunteers are instructed to capture their fingerprint as a requirement for the Npower screening process.

Before the NASIMS biometrics, Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteers are notified to complete their biometrics through their NASIMS verification page, the biometrics process is done using a fingerprint scanner and a laptop, error messages might come up during the biometrics due to network glitches, once this occurs the Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteer should wait till the internet network stabilises then continue the biometric.

In order to check if the NASIMS biometrics was done properly the Npower stream 2 volunteer should login into the NASIMS portal https://NASIMS.gov.ng/login and click on the verification page, and scroll down the page, if the NASIMS biometrics was done properly the Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteer will see "fingerprint captured ✓" icon, but if the NASIMS biometrics was not done properly the Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteer will see capture fingerprint without the ✓, this simply means the NASIMS biometrics was not passed and must be repeated.

Npower stream 2 volunteers can also check their biometrics status if it was completed or yet to be completed by dialing the NASIMS ussd code*45665#, if you passed the biometrics you will receive a positive response, if you do not pass the biometrics you will receive a negative reply.

During biometrics all fingers must be captured according to the instructions set by NASIMS including index fingers, and fingers must not be stained as this will affect the biometric process.

Npower stream 2 physical verification

The Npower stream 2 physical verification is a process whereby Npower stream 2 volunteers after completing their biometrics, presents all documents, credentials and certificates uploaded to their NASIMS profile, physically for scrutiny by the Npower physical verification officers, the documents to be presented to the Npower physical verification officers are:

1) HND, OND, BSC Certificates

2) WAEC Certificate

3) NYSC Certificate or Exemption Certificate

4) Birth Certificate or Age Declaration

5) BVN Printout (though not necessary in some states)

6) Residential Certificate

7) Means Of Identification either, National Identity Card, Voters card, Driver's Licence, Or International Passport all capturing the biodata page.

8) Utility Bill; PHCN Bill, Waste Bill

9) NASIMS Print out, although not necessary in some states

10) Passport Photo

When the Npower stream 2 physical verification begins, Npower volunteers will see the physical verification date displayed on the verification page of their NASIMS profile, just under the finger print capture icon.

The Npower stream 2 physical verification will be conducted nationwide by verified Npower verification officers, the Npower stream 2 physical verification will last for few weeks, the Npower stream 2 physical verification will begin when all biometrics have been completed successfully by Npower stream 2 volunteers, Npower stream 2 volunteers that do not pass the biometrics will not progress to the physical verification phase.

When you see the fingerprint captured ✓ icon on your verification page it simply means that you have passed the biometrics, if you do not see the fingerprint captured ✓ icon on your verification page it means that you have not passed the biometrics and therefore have to repeat the biometrics.

Alternatively Npower stream 2 volunteers can dial the NASIMS ussd code *45665# to check if they passed the biometrics and can check their physical verification status by following the instructions from the prompts and selecting the particular number of the aspect they want to check, the Npower stream 2 volunteer must have sufficient airtime to complete the tasks.

After the Npower stream 2 physical verification is passed then the Npower stream 2 volunteer can progress for deployment, details of deployment will be displayed on the deployment page of the Npower stream 2 volunteer's NASIMS page.

Npower stream 2 volunteers are advised to always check their verification page on NASIMS for physical verification date and venue.

Npower Nexit training list

The Npower Nexit training list is a list which contains the names of successful exited Npower volunteers for the Npower Nexit training, exited Npower volunteers can check if their names are on the Npower Nexit training list by dialing the NASIMS ussd code*45665# from any mobile network, MTN, Glo, Etisalat, and Airtel, the exited Npower volunteer must have sufficient airtime to complete this task.

After dialing the USSD code select NEXIT and check your shortlisting status, if you were shortlisted you will be notified as text message after few minutes, even if you were not shortlisted, please you do not have to worry, because you have already been shortlisted for the next batch of the Npower Nexit training and your name will appear in the Npower Nexit training list when it is released.

The Npower Nexit training list will be released as soon as all business plans have been completed, sent and received by the Central Bank of Nigeria, once the business plan have been received, then the Npower Nexit training list will be sent to all state Npower Nexit training centres to commence the second batch of the Npower NEXIT training, at the end of the Npower NEXIT training which will last for 5 working days or more depending on the training, Npower volunteers will be awarded with certificates using the Npower NEXIT training list, and thereafter be given soft loans to start a business as specified in their business plans.

Npower volunteers that missed the previous Npower NEXIT training will have to provide an evidence to show that their name was on the Npower NEXIT training list, but due to one reason or the other they could not participate in the Npower NEXIT training of the first batch, Npower volunteers in this situation can use the *45665# ussd code to check if they were shortlisted, then confirm their availability and save or screenshot the message received as an evidence, this will be shown to the Npower NEXIT training consultant when the next batch begins, otherwise the Npower volunteer might be denied the opportunity of participating in the second batch of the Npower NEXIT training.

Npower NEXIT training list for second batch will be out when all is put in place

According to Npower the Npower NEXIT training list for second batch will be out when everything is put in place to ensure a successful training, this was said in response to series of questions asked about the Npower NEXIT training for the second batch, from exited Npower volunteers.

The Npower NEXIT training list will not include exited Npower volunteers that missed the first Npower NEXIT training, if you missed the previous Npower NEXIT training, quickly dial the NASIMS ussd code*45665# and input your BVN, and check your Npower NEXIT training status, if you were shortlisted, just print out the shortlisting message you receive after dialing the *45665# ussd code, this will serve as a proof that you were shortlisted, and should be presented at the Npower NEXIT training venue when the second batch of the Npower NEXIT training starts.

After the Npower NEXIT training list for the second batch has been sent by Npower to the state Npower NEXIT training coordinators then the second batch will kick off.

Biometrics: Be patient for further directives if you biometrics has been done successfully - Npower

According to Npower, if you are an Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteer and either you just completed your biometrics or you have completed your biometrics months ago, you are to wait for further directives, the Npower physical verification have not started yet, that is the next phase after biometrics.

The Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification date will be set when Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteers have completed all biometrics successfully, only until Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteers have completed their biometrics before Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification date will be set, the Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification will be conducted by corp members and a presiding verification officer, in some states another biometrics will be conducted on site for verification purposes.

Biometrics: If you have done capturing before and it was successful, then no need of recapturing again - Npower

According to Npower countering previous statement made regarding biometrics, please if you have completed your biometrics successfully and after checking your NASIMS verification, it was marked fingerprint captured ✓ please you do not have to repeat the biometrics again, just wait for Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification date to be set, then you proceed for physical verification, the Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification will be displayed at the footer of your NASIMS verification page, if it has not displayed yet, it simply means that the Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification date have not been set.

Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteers using the NASIMS ussd code *45665# should check their biometrics status, if you receive the message that your Biometrics has been completed successfully, then you do not have to repeat the biometrics again, also wait for the Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification date to be set, then proceed for the Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification.

Biometrics: Biometrics done before 15th is invalid - Npower

According to Npower, all biometrics done before 15th when Npower gave the directives is invalid, Npower have claimed, "Hello Henry Akpabio, kindly do as instructed, whatever you did back then is invalid, since no one instructed you to do any biometric capturing then. Thank you." 

This was in a response to a statement made by an Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteer that did the biometrics previously before Npower directed Npower stream 2 volunteers to do their biometrics.

Just to be on a safe side if you did your Biometrics before the official date which was on the 15th, that is two days ago, just go and repeat the biometrics, this is just a precautionary measure as instructed by Npower, recall that Npower had previously told Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteers not to repeat the biometrics if you had already completed yours, but I repeat just to be on a safe side it costs you nothing to repeat the process, this is to make sure that your fingerprint has been captured into the Npower database.

Physical verification date will be set, when we are sure beneficiaries are through with biometrics capturing - Npower

According to Npower, the Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification date will be set, when beneficiaries are through with biometrics capturing. This was said by Npower in response to a question raised by an Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteer regarding the commencement of the Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification.

It is after the Biometrics have been completed then the Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification date will now be set, then after that the Npower Batch C stream 2 deployment date will also be set.

Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteers will be notified when the Npower Batch C stream 2 physical verification date is set via the verification page on NASIMS or by dialing the NASIMS ussd code*45665# from any mobile network.

Biometrics: Please if you have done the Biometrics before you do not have to do it again

If you are an Npower Batch C stream 2 volunteer and you did the biometrics earlier, please you do not have to repeat the biometrics, all you have to do is go back to your NASIMS verification page and check if "fingerprint captured ✓" icon displays under your verification page, if this does not appear then you have to repeat the biometrics.

Alternatively you can use the NASIMS ussd code*45665# to check your Biometrics if it was done properly, if it was done properly you will receive a message saying that your biometrics was captured successfully, please ensure that you have enough airtime credit balance before dialing the *45665# NASIMS code, if you have not completed your biometrics you will also be informed after dialing the NASIMS ussd code *45665#, if you did not pass the biometrics you will not progress to the physical verification stage when it begins.
